Shift: Monday to Thursday: 3:00pm to 11:30pm Friday: 12:00pm to 8:30pm (40 hours/week)
Starting Pay Rate: $40.19/hour
Location: 1855 Champlain St Dieppe NB
Description
The Diesel Mechanic inspects maintains diagnoses and repairs assigned on-/off-road and heavy duty equipment to ensure proper function and vehicle safety and meet quality and performance goals.
Responsibilities
-Diagnose and repair on- / off-road and heavy duty vehicles and equipment to meet preventative maintenance schedules ensure proper function and meet vehicle safety and quality goals
-Assist with entering data in the mechanics maintenance and repair database (e.g. Web Fleet Assistant (WFA))
-Communicates concerns or escalates unusually complex or persistent problems to the Foreman or other manager
-Responds to service calls for equipment breakdowns when no supervisor is available to assist in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues arising from the Control Room Dispatch or Drivers
Education
-Red Seal Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics license
-Valid Class 5 class drivers license with a clear drivers abstract that meets Purolators insurance requirements.
-3 year of experience as a Diesel Mechanic is required.
