The goal for our electricians are to effectively and efficiently repair and maintain existing equipment and fabricate and install new equipment in order to meet production goals and expectations on a consistent basis while maintaining compliance with Environmental Health & Safety Standards. Will be working in a high paced environment with moving parts and equipment such as agitators pumps and forklifts. Mechanic will work near hazardous chemicals such as acids oxidizers petroleum products and reducing agents. Mechanic will also work around steam lines and high pressure lines as well as electrical and pneumatic lines. Will be required to wear various types of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hearing protection half-mask air respirator and safety goggles.

Your Role and Responsibilies:

• Checks tests and troubleshoots electrical systems for conformance to specifications and performs repair removal and reinstallation of wiring as necessary.
• Attaches wire or complicated electrical systems to fixtures and accessories such as: transformers instrument panels and switchboards with fasteners (bolts screws or solder).
• Locate and correct electrical problems including component installation and replacement
• Ensure that the wiring meets all building codes and standards for safety
• Understand and employ electrical schematics diagrams blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Test newly installed electrical components to ensure proper function
• Test wiring and other electrical components to make sure its properly connected
• Performing semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment electrical systems and control circuits and build control panels from drawings
• Prepare sketches and schematic diagrams showing the location of wiring and electrical systems

What is Required for this Role:

• Programmable logic controllers: 1 year (Preferred)
• High voltage: 1 year (Preferred)
• State Certified Electrician
• Automation and PLC background
• Electrical experience 1 year - 3years
