As Senior Manufacturing Manager on our 2nd shift team you will lead a high-performance operation building complex capital equipment that powers semiconductor innovation worldwide. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on solving challenges at pacebalancing safety quality and delivery in a rapidly growing environment. Your work will shape how Veeco meets customer commitments accelerates output and builds long-term operational capability during a decisive phase of PSP growth.
**2nd shift hours are Mon-Fri 3:30pm-12am. Senior Manager may come in earlier according to business needs**
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and optimize all 2nd shift manufacturing operations to achieve safety quality delivery and cost targets.
- Build and develop a strong leadership benchcoaching supervisors and technicians to execute with precision and accountability.
- Align shift priorities with customer delivery requirements new design releases and materials readiness to maintain an efficient production flow.
- Partner cross-functionally with Planning Engineering and Supply Chain to eliminate bottlenecks and ensure on-time shipment of complex systems.
- Lead root cause problem-solving (e.g. 8D 5 Whys) implementing corrective and preventive actions that drive continuous improvement.
- Track and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) lessons learned and risk mitigation strategies to senior leadership.
- Champion a culture of safety and operational excellence through sustained 6S and engagement initiatives.
- Drive change and embed best practices to scale PSP operations for global market demand.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Manufacturing or Business; equivalent training/experience considered.
- 10 years of progressive production leadership including 7 years managing both management-level and hourly teams.
- ERP proficiency required (SAP experience preferred).
- Ability to work 2nd shift (3:30 PM 12:00 AM) with flexibility to support fast-changing operations.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Demonstrated success leading complex electro-mechanical equipment builds in a high-mix dynamic environment.
- Effective communicator skilled in distilling priorities and uniting cross-functional teams to deliver aggressive production targets.
- Proven ability to develop talent and foster a high-performance culture while scaling operations.
- Familiarity with semiconductor capital equipment manufacturing highly desirable.
- Structured problem-solving and lean manufacturing experience required; CI certifications (Six Sigma KAIZEN) a plus.
Salary and Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $124908$184000 plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location experience and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
