Application Development & Tech Service Engineer

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Technical service and application development activities in Asia. He or She should provide sufficient technical support to mainlypainting protection film (PPF) business-related customers and other TPU customersin Asia with business needs by problem solving product recommendation and technical consulting; working together with PPFteam to identify the new development opportunities set up the application development plan and fulfil the application development projects according to project milestones.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fulfil the day-to-day technical service operation which include customer visit troubleshooting on-site sales project supporting and so on.
• Lead regional PPMP projects as technical leader monitor and report milestone timely and effectively.
• Development strong customer bonding through customer problem-solving product recommendation sales project development execution with deelpy technicalcooperation with OEM and processor.
• Fulfill technical work request design experiment perform lab bench work to analysis and write up report to meet technical targets of customer projects.
• Develop related application processing skill and knowledge train customers technician in lab and provide technical service/ trouble shooting in the field including material technoligy process guidance and application study for PPF and other TPU applications.

• Work closely with commercial team and customer on the new application development opportunities exploration feasibilities study and project implementation.
• Define the planning and prioritization of projects and manage the execution of the plan in line with PPF TPU project guidelines ensure that project objectives deliverables and milestones are met within the agreed budget timing and quality standards.
• Develop the customized test protocols / simulation capabilities and create the application database.
• Give the technical presentation to customers and commercial partners keep close contact with the industry and be updated with the latest technology developments.
• Keep communication with Lubrizol technical community updated on new applications development and new processing technology development activities. Ensure new technologies transfer and support on existing technology is provided to the other regions. Support requirements with other technical personnel in the region.

REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION EXPERIENCE SKILLS:

1. Masters Degree or above in chemistry and polymer or related field.
2. Have a deep understanding of marketing concepts ability to transfer the actual customer application requirements into material requirement.
3. Extrusion processing technology and molding technology will be preferred.
4. Master with minimum of 5 years or Doctor with minimum of 3 years of professional experience
5. Preferably deep understanding of film application.
6. In-depth understanding of polymer structure-processing-property relationship.
7. Strong analytical and problem anticipation & solving skills; innovative creative and agility to think outside the box of common sense and generate novel technical approaches.
8. Excellent interpersonal verbal & written communication presentation and listening skills; ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences (internal & external)strongly influence and convince team members to make right decisions together.
9. Highly motivated towards goals & objectives.
10. Excellent organization and planning skills; multi-tasking.
11. Fluency in oral and written English communication and good presentation skills are needed.
