Systems Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Systems Administrator to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining supporting and optimizing our IT infrastructure while ensuring system security performance and availability. This role requires a proactive professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage monitor and maintain servers networks and system infrastructure

Install configure and support hardware and software systems

Perform system upgrades patches and routine maintenance

Ensure system security through implementation of best practices monitoring tools and compliance standards

Troubleshoot and resolve system network and application issues in a timely manner

Maintain backup and disaster recovery processes

Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for scalability and efficiency

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT operations and business needs

Document system configurations processes and procedures

Required Qualifications

Must be currently residing in the United States

Valid U.S. work authorization (citizen permanent resident or authorized work permit holder)

Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role

Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure or Google Cloud)

Proficiency in networking concepts (DNS DHCP VPN firewalls)

Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware Hyper-V)

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA Server AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator)

Experience with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell Bash Python)

Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices

Work Environment

Fully remote role with flexible scheduling options

Must be available to work within U.S. business hours

Occasional on-call or after-hours support may be required
