Position: History Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $55$63/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Author review and annotate technical tasks to evaluate AI model performance on history problems.
• Produce original problem sets grounded in maps archival documents timelines and historical imagery.
• Write reference solutions and apply structured quality checks.
• Provide clear structured feedback to improve training data quality and downstream performance.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• PhD in History MA in History with 3 years teaching or research experience or BA in History with 5 years teaching tutoring or applied research experience.
• Working fluency in at least two of: ancient medieval modern regional economic political history.
• Comfortable reading and interpreting maps archival documents timelines and historical imagery.
• Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form.
