Position: Bilingual Portuguese Generalist Evaluator Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $12$30/hour
Location: Remote
Duration: 24 months
Commitment: 20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Develop detailed prompts in Portuguese and English. Ensure natural phrasing and relevance for users in Portugal and Brazil.
• Establish evaluation standards for responses in Portugal and Brazil. Create rubrics that consider linguistic nuance and cultural conventions.
• Test models with prompts. Assess outputs for accuracy fluency and cultural fit in Portuguese.
• Collaborate in QA processes. Ensure consistency and reliability across Portuguese-language benchmarks.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Native-level fluency in Portuguese (written) specific to Portugal or Brazil usage. Strong reading/writing ability in English.
• Must be native to Portugal or Brazil. Deep cultural and linguistic familiarity.
• BS or BA from a reputable institution (completed or in progress).
• Strong writing and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with ChatGPT or similar tools.
• Based in Portugal or Brazil.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching research editing or academic writing.
• Experience creating evaluation criteria rubrics or grading guidelines.
• Familiarity with LLMs prompting or model evaluation.
