Value Stream Improvement Champion

What Youll Be Doing

  • Lead and execute process improvement initiatives across the value stream leveraging technical expertise (mechanical electrical chemical and human factors)
  • Partner with Value Stream Managers Maintenance and Technical teams to build and execute a value stream roadmap focused on improving uptime rate and yield
  • Identify scope and deliver plant-wide improvement projects including resource planning and execution
  • Lead Kaizen events end-to-end:
    • Team selection
    • Agenda development
    • Training facilitation
    • Implementation and follow-up
  • Align A3 Kaizen and Hoshin initiatives with plant and value stream KPIs
  • Drive root cause problem solving and eliminate systemic issues across the plant
  • Analyze and interpret plant data (SAP historian systems Minitab etc.) to identify improvement opportunities
  • Implement and coach teams on continuous improvement tools including:
    • 5S TPM AM/PM
    • Value Stream Mapping
    • Poka-Yoke
    • Standard Work
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with operations maintenance and support teams
  • Direct and influence Kaizen teams production employees and support staff to achieve results

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent manufacturing experience
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance engineering or plant operations
  • Experience in continuous improvement and process optimization
  • Strong leadership facilitation and meeting management experience

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Experience with Lean tools and methodologies
  • Knowledge of:
    • Production systems
    • Raw material flow
    • Work order and maintenance processes
    • Project and downtime planning
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as:
    • Minitab
    • SAP
    • Data historians / Access / similar systems
  • Strong communication presentation and data organization skills

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience in continuous manufacturing environments
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • DMAIC PDCA 8-Step Problem Solving
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)
  • Proven success leading Kaizen events and plant-wide improvements
  • Strong understanding of plant systems and cross-functional integration
