Meetings & Events Support Specialist

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated self-driven and enthusiastic individual to work in our Kent Ohio office PART-TIME with the potential of leading to full- time. Candidate reports to the Meetings & Events Manager supports The SEED Campus Marketing and Events coordinator as well as Corporate Communications. The Meetings & Events department successfully plans and executes corporate Davey meetings conferences and events overseeing 5 to 20 functions per week. Events may include internal Trainings Sales Meetings Board of Directors Meetings Strategic Planning Meetings Client functions and Corporate Sponsorship Events. This role also calls for flexibility interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff as well as outside clients and vendors.

Job Duties

• Provides food and beverage support to The SEED Campus - Science Employee Education & Development campus.
• Hospitality tasks that include but are not limited to event set-up tear-down clean-up package food assist with the daily execution of daily meetings trainings and variety of other projects.
• Stock supplies clean food and beverages areas and reset spaces for next day.
• Administrative responsibilities. Tasks- write emails order catering send invites gather RSVPs create signs and name tags. Ability to use or learn Excel Word MS Forms MS Teams. Tasks - design posters invites name tags and create spreadsheets surveys etc.
• Support ongoing campus tours and facilities needs for The SEED campus.
• Works well with all levels of Davey employees in addition to outside clients partners and vendors.
• Work schedule Monday through Friday: (mid-morning to mid-afternoon preferred). Additional weekend/evening hours as neded.
• Occasional weekend or evening coverage determined by events.
• Ability to carry or lift 50 lbs.
• Car required for various projects and responsibilities outlined.
