Schedule: 8:50 AM 3:40 PM
Pay Rate: $40 $45 per hour

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to serve in a long-term substitute role supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The ideal candidate will provide specialized instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and create a structured supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic growth and social-emotional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop implement and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with ASD

• Provide individualized and small group instruction tailored to student learning needs

• Monitor student progress and modify instructional strategies to support achievement

• Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions and support plans

• Collaborate with parents related service providers and school staff to ensure student success

• Maintain accurate documentation including progress reports and IEP records

• Participate in IEP meetings team meetings and professional development as required

• Foster a safe structured and engaging learning environment

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field

• Active Virginia teaching license with Special Education endorsement

• Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred

• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
