Schedule: Monday Friday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM

Job Summary: Our established public accounting client in Blackwood NJ is looking for a detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join their growing team. This is a Temp-to Hire position offering $25-$35 per hour based on experience. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Tax Preparation: Accurately prepare federal state and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.

• Compliance & Review: Audit financial records to ensure all filings are accurate complete and compliant with current IRS regulations.

• Strategic Advising: Identify tax strategies credits and deductions to maximize client returns and minimize liability.

• Client Relations: Provide white-glove customer service translating complex tax laws into clear actionable advice for clients.

• Audit Support: Assist clients with audits or inquiries from tax authorities as necessary.

• Collaboration: Work alongside senior accounting staff to streamline service delivery and maintain high standards of excellence.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting.

• Education: Background in Accounting Finance or a related field preferred.

• Software Skills: Familiarity with professional tax software (e.g. Drake Software UltraTax or Lacerte) is highly preferred.

• Tax Knowledge: Strong up-to-date understanding of federal and state tax laws.

• Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail strong problem-solving abilities and a client-first mentality.

• Bonus: Prior experience in a sales or business development capacity is a plus!
