The Opportunity

Solid Rock Recruiting is partnered with a well-established commercial drywall contractor in the Springfield MA market that is looking to bring on a Chief / Senior Estimator to lead their preconstruction efforts.

This is a high-impact role for someone who not only understands the numbers but knows how to build strategy lead estimating efforts and drive profitable work.

You wont be just another estimator. You will be the person helping shape what work the company goes after and how it wins it.

What Youll Be Doing

• Lead all estimating efforts for commercial drywall and interiors projects.
• Review drawings specs and bid documents to develop accurate and competitive estimates.
• Build and oversee detailed proposals and ensure complete scope coverage.
• Manage bid strategy pricing approach and risk analysis.
• Work closely with ownership and operations to align estimating with company goals.
• Mentor and support junior estimators or team members as needed.
• Stay current on labor material and market conditions to maintain a competitive edge.

• What Theyre Looking For
• Strong background in commercial drywall estimating.
• Experience handling large complex bids and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to lead mentor and elevate an estimating function.
• Deep understanding of labor material and market pricing.
• Strong attention to detail with a strategic mindset.
• Experience with estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff QuickBid or similar
