PROGRAM: Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS)
JOB OVERVIEW:
The IBHS Clinical Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the overall clinical and administrative supervision of the IBHS-designated team including Behavior Consultants Mobile Therapists BHTs/Registered Behavior Technicians and Care Coordinators. The Clinical Supervisor reports to the Clinical Program Director of IBHS.
**Must be licensed in Pennsylvania as an LBS LCSW LPC LMFT or Licensed Psychologist**
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide clinical supervision to BCs MTs and BHT/RBT staff related to adherence to evidence-based practices IBHS regulations quality and administrative policies and procedures such as paperwork submission quality of paperwork attendance of trainings and supervision.
Assign the BC MT and BHT/RBT staff to cases. Monitor that assignments are appropriate and when a problem arises take corrective action including reassignment as indicated.
Conduct group and individual clinical supervision both in office and in the field on a regular basis in accordance with CBH performance standards and state IBHS regulations.
Provide treatment in the community to children assigned to the team when there is a staff shortage.
Review track and monitor submission of psychosocial assessments treatment plans Functional Behavioral Assessments and progress monitor reviews to ensure compliance with established procedures.
Collaborate and address any concerns from parents CBH schools and/or the agency/administration.
Track and monitor the status of cases to ensure that authorizations are current.
Communicate consistently and effectively with BCs MTs and BHTs/RBTs regarding the current status of authorizations i.e. hours location and time frame of authorization. Document accurately all communications with staff.
Ensure that all cases are monitored to ensure the billable status of services.
Convene team meetings to provide crisis intervention when situations arise.
Assess and implement standardized assessment and supervision tools that are aligned with CBH performance standards.
Develop and monitor staff training plans to ensure compliance with CBH performance standards. Lead BHT staff through RBT training requirements to get them certified as RBTs within 6 months of hire.
Ensure compliance with all PHMCs policies and procedures including confidentiality and acting as a mandated reporter in accordance with the law policies and procedures.
Participate in and complete all CBH mandatory in-services. These trainings must be completed within 3 months of hire and annually from the date of the initial training. Participate in at least 10 hours of documented Continuing Education Units (additional in-service) per year (year is defined as twelve months after the date of hire).
Provide back-up coverage and support for the other IBHS Clinical Supervisor in their absence.

Establish and hold direct reports responsible for creating a climate that attracts retains and motivates high performance and adherence to the ABA treatment model.
Ensure the caliber of diverse staff with skills appropriate to meet the needs of those served.
Provide and hold staff responsible for their tasks and provide constructive supervision for all direct reports including ongoing performance feedback.
Model PHMCs core competencies and hold staff accountable to do the same.
Mentor and develop direct reports to ensure a core team that is focused on meeting the priorities of the program.
Team Leadership
Demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all internal and external stakeholders.
Cooperate and communicate as a multidisciplinary staff team member through formal meetings informal consultations and committee participation.
Model traits of a responsible team member by executing job responsibilities open communication and good follow-through. Support team members to do the same.
Demonstrate use and support of the trauma-informed model in all aspects of employment including interactions with clients/students family members other employees community members and stakeholders.
Respond promptly to the concerns and interests of clients parents guardians funding entities and other PHMC staff.
Participate in leadership development alongside other program leaders within the Community Mental Health department.
Participate in regular meetings with staff to ensure priorities are clear coordination is good and communication is open. Develop additional methods for ongoing effective communication.
Partnerships & Collaborative Relationships
Establish and maintain relationships with provider organizations regulatory and licensing representatives and referral sources establishing effective and productive working relationships while promoting PHMC.
Represent the organization before various stakeholder groups to maintain visibility.
Manage regulatory and accreditation contracts.
Serve on participate in and attend various committee meetings.
Trauma-Informed Behavior
Demonstrate commitment to being trauma-informed and maintaining a therapeutic environment and community that promotes safety and nonviolence as the basis for all we do with clients and staff.
Demonstrate knowledge and utilization of trauma-informed practices including emotional intelligence effective communication understanding of the impact of trauma on development strengths-based and person-centered practice resilience focus and commitment to growth and change.
Administrative Activities
Ensure compliance with all PHMCs policies and procedures including confidentiality and acting as a mandated reporter in accordance with the law policies and procedures.
Implement all documentation requirements. Ensure that reports are complete thorough timely and written in the prescribed format. Ensure that staff members do the same.
Complete other duties as assigned.
SKILLS:
Ability to utilize and facilitate a collaborative team-oriented approach
Knowledge and understanding of CASSP principles behavior modification social/ecological theory and application family systems theory and application cognitive-behavioral theory and clinical application and child and family development
Crisis intervention and management
Knowledge of the current DSM
Basic knowledge/understanding of common psychotropic medications
Experience working with and supervising diverse populations
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to diverse audiences and in diverse venues
Ability to hire and develop a caliber staff capable of providing high-quality services accountable to job responsibilities and motivated to achieve high performance
Strong computer skills in all Microsoft Office applications including data management skills
Ability to resolve complex problems and issues
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be licensed in Pennsylvania as a Behavior Specialist (LBS) Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Professional Counselor (LPC) Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Psychologist
Must have a masters degree in a clinical field such as clinical social work psychology counseling or marriage and family therapy including a minimum of 12 credit hours in core behavioral health coursework
Minimum of 2 years of verified post-masters experience providing mental health treatment including psychotherapy counseling and assessment working with children and/or adolescents
Previous supervisory experience required
CLEARANCES: Valid ChildLine PA criminal history FBI and medical clearances as well as any other clearances required by the agency or contractors
