Pipers Vale Primary Academy are seeking an inspirational and highly motivated Special Education Management Teacher into the team.

The Position
You will be a key member of the team carrying out the professional duties of a teacher while taking direct responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Special Educational Unit (SEU).
You will:
- oversee the daily organisation of the SEU including staff inductions performance reviews and coordinating cover in response to absences
- model strong practice and deliver high-quality lessons specifically for pupils with learning disabilities
- take responsibility for the standards and progress achieved by specified classes/year groups and monitoring the specific needs of pupils with SEN
- work with the principal to identify training needs and designing / delivering professional development to ensure the team maintains high standards
- act as a vital link to trust-wide groups attending meetings to represent the schools position and communicate outcomes back to the principal to drive school improvement.
What you will offer
You will:
- have a previous experience working in a SEN provision
- be qualified to degree level (or equivalent)
- be able to demonstrate knowledge of effective strategies to meet the specific communication needs of pupils with significant SEND
- be able to plan lessons effectively for groups and all the pupils
- have successful teaching experience across primary secondary or both
- have strong subject knowledge in your own subject and also the ability to teach across other subject areas.
