Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Location: Hackensack NJ
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks with possibility of extension)
Schedule:
- Shift Options:
- Night Shift: 10:00 PM 8:00 AM (4x10-hour shifts)
- Day Shift: 8:00 AM 8:30 PM
- Weekends & Holidays: As needed
- On-Call: Not required
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in handling emergency and trauma cases operating independently and delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring patient safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with minimal supervision
- Position patients and select appropriate technical factors for imaging
- Operate radiologic equipment and ensure high-quality imaging results
- Perform portable X-ray exams in patient rooms OR and emergency settings
- Assist physicians with contrast procedures as needed
- Follow radiation safety protocols and minimize patient exposure
- Accurately document and label imaging studies
- Maintain organized work areas and ensure equipment readiness
- Assist patients with mobility and positioning during procedures
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling and record maintenance
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
- Experience in Emergency Room Trauma and Operating Room settings required
- Experience with portable imaging and pediatric patients required
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Certifications & Licensure:
- ARRT certification required
- New Jersey State Radiologic Technologist license required
- Must be eligible to meet National Registry requirements
