Phlebotomy Float

LabCorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist Float to join our team at 43839 North 15th Street Lancaster CA 93534

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday hours vary between 6:00am-6:00pm additional hours and rotating weekends may be required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

• Collect specimens for drug screens paternity tests alcohol tests etc.

• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

• Process billing information and collecting payments when required

• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

• Maintain patient and specimen information logs

• Provide superior customer service to all patients

• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

• California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 or more years of experience as phlebotomist

• Current or prior experience with Labcorp

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of state license requirement listed above an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.

• Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English

• 6 months or more phlebotomist experiences with Geriatrics and Pediatric patients

• Pass a standardized color blindness test

• Be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record

• Reliable transportation

• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

• Exceptional customer service

• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Pay Range: $21.00-$33.00

Float Incentive: Additional $1.50/hr. plus mileage reimbursement

All job offers will bebased on a candidates skills and prior relevant experience applicabledegrees/certificationsas well as internal equity and market data.
