Peat Field Operators & Loader Operators (Cromwell and Floodwood)

Peat Inc. is hiring Loader/ Screener Operators for our locations in Cromwell Floodwood and McGregor.

The Loader/Screener Operator is responsible for maintaining the condition of the peat bog to ensure efficient operations loading trucks and screening material.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance cleaning and lubrication on assigned equipment to meet professional standards and manufacturer recommendations.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment and vehicles before use.
• Complete minor repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and vehicles coordinating parts ordering and documenting parts and labor used.
• Operate a front-end loader to load trucks and screen material at the screening plant.
• Utilize farming equipment as necessary to support operations (e.g. tractors dozers) and ensure the bogs are prepared for harvesting.
• Ensure that drainage systems are clear of obstructions and functioning properly and that bogs are ready for harvesting.
• Assist in organizing the storage of equipment vehicles and materials to maintain easy access throughout the peat farming area.
• Help with product movement and storage including loading and unloading within facilities and maintaining inventory documentation.
• Support compliance with all internal safety regulations as well as OSHA and MSHA requirements.
• Continuously seek methods to control and reduce costs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

HOURS: 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday (overtime available after 40 hours and on Saturdays).
