Job Description
The Mission: When emergencies happen every single second counts. As a Technical Manager you wont just be managing software developmentyou will be leading the teams that build our mission-critical Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) software. This is the technology that public safety professionals and first responders rely on to coordinate rescues dispatch help and save lives.
What You Will Do: Step into a role where your technical expertise and leadership directly impact public safety. You will take the helm of our Scrum teams driving both the development of new features and the maintenance of robust high-stakes software systems.
Lead & Inspire: Act as a dedicated mentor and coach to promote outstanding leadership within your engineering teams.
Architect the Future: Spearhead the definition of complex engineering requirements and shape the overarching software architecture.
Drive the Process: Establish refine and champion engineering best practices while taking ownership of planning and delivering crucial team milestones.
Communicate & Collaborate: Act as the technical key figure using your communication skills to align your team and stakeholders around shared goals.
Requirements
Leadership Experience: 2 years of proven leading mentoring and growing software development teams.
Technical Chops: Practical hands-on experience programming large-scale systems and developing moderately complex software architectures.
SDLC Mastery: A deep comprehensive understanding of the entire Software Development Life Cycle.
Autonomous Problem Solver: You dont wait for instructions. You thrive under minimal supervision and love untangling complex technical challenges.
Team-First Mindset: You are a team player who fosters a culture of trust and collaboration.
Clear Communicator: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Educational Foundation: A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Mathematics or a related technical field.
Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves):
Proven experience managing the complete end-to-end software lifecycle.
Cloud engineering expertise specifically developing scalable applications using public cloud platforms like Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure
