Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8-5 unless needed otherwise

Position Summary

The Project Surveyor will be responsible for conducting surveys preparing maps and reports and providing accurate data for engineering and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of surveying techniques excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently. Must have a valid drivers license.

Essential Functions

• Conduct land surveys using various surveying equipment and technology including GPS total stations and levels.
• Prepare and maintain accurate field notes sketches and survey reports.
• Analyze survey data to determine the shape contour location elevation and dimensions of land features.
• Collaborate with engineers architects and construction teams to provide accurate survey data for project planning and design.
• Perform boundary surveys topographic surveys and construction staking.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations standards and safety protocols.
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) and Geospatial software to create detailed maps and plans.
• Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
• Research legal records survey records and land titles to obtain information about property boundaries and areas to be surveyed.
• Communicate effectively with clients contractors and team members to address any survey-related issues or concerns.

Skills and Abilities

Education/Certification: Bachelors Degree in Land Surveying Civil Engineering or a related field. Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred or ability to obtain.

Experience: 5 plus years industry experience.

Other Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft word and excel and experience with databases.
