The Mission

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Program Risk Manager to support a large complex U.S. Air Force program. This role will be responsible for identifying analyzing mitigating and monitoring program risks across technical schedule cost and operational domains. The ideal candidate will work closely with government stakeholders program leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure proactive risk management aligned with DoD standards and program objectives.

Primary Tasks:

  • Develop implement and maintain the programs Risk Management Plan (RMP) in alignment with DoD and Air Force guidance.
  • Identify and assess risks using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Maintain and manage the risk register including risk scoring categorization and prioritization.
  • Lead risk review boards and support program management reviews (PMRs).
  • Collaborate with engineering logistics cybersecurity and program control teams to ensure risks are captured across all domains.
  • Track and report risk mitigation plans ensuring accountability and timely execution.
  • Provide regular risk reporting dashboards and briefings to senior leadership and government stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with frameworks such as DoD Risk Management Guide for Defense Acquisition Programs.
  • Support issue management and transition of risks to issues when realized.
  • Facilitate a culture of proactive risk awareness across the program.

Educational Requirements:

  • Requires a BA degree in engineering Business Program Management or related field and 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 years of prior relevant experience.

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience supporting U.S. Air Force or DoD acquisition programs
  • Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks tools and methodologies
  • Experience with risk tracking tools (e.g. Active Risk Manager (ARM) Jira or similar systems)
  • Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional discussions and influence stakeholders
  • Active DoD security clearance (Top Secret)

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex datasets
  • Ability to operate in a high-visibility mission-critical environment

Pay Range:

Pay Range $116350.00 - $210325.00
