DSP, Residential (Mornings FT)

Pay Rate: Pay Range: $19.50 - $20 per hour (Depending on years of experience)

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is currently seeking a Direct Support Professionalwho will provides quality living support (physical social behavioral career and personal) to persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) living and working in the community.

The work schedule is: Monday-Friday 8 AM - 4 PM.

Gallagher Services supportsadults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living the life of their are supported in living working and being involved in the community as independently as possible. The Cornerstones of the program are Person-Centered Planning and the mission and values of Catholic Charities.

A Day in the Life:

Youllspend your days supporting a group of fun vibrant individuals who enjoy:

• Playing bingo and sharing laughs
• Watching favorite movies and discussing characters
• Singing along to music or relaxing with a favorite playlist
• Coloring crafting and creating art
• Reading books aloud or flipping through pages together

This group is looking for someone who is kind dependable a good communicator and most of allsomeone who enjoys spending time with them. Ifyouresomeone who takes joy in building real connections and being present in the momentyoullthrive here.

HowYoullSupport:

• Support communityengagementwhetherthatsa walk in the park orattendinglocal events.
• Be a steady presence in important momentsfamily visits milestones or just a shared cup of coffee
• Advocate for each persons rights and help build their confidence and sense of self
• Keep clear respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support

MinimumRequirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid drivers license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points
• Comfortable driving agency vehicles andassistingpeople who use wheelchairs
• Able tolift upto 75 pounds stand forlong periods and provide physicalassistancewhen needed
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)
