Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to support our Cyber Mission business unit in Annapolis Junction this role you will contribute to developing and enhancing cloud-based applications that directly support national security operations.

Youll work in a collaborative Agile environment leveraging DevOps tools and modern cloud technologies to deliver secure scalable and reliable solutions. This role is ideal for junior engineers with an active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph who are looking to grow their skills in a mission-driven environment.

This position is performed onsite at a contractor facility with telework flexibility based on tasking and customer approval.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph is required
    Five (5) years of experience in software development/engineering or related technical experience
    Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field may substitute for two (2) years of experience
    Acceptable fields include Mathematics Information Systems Engineering or similar
    Experience with Java development (academic or professional)
    Experience using Git or GitLab

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to full-stack development (Java and/or JavaScript)
    Familiarity with React or
    Experience working with REST APIs and JSON
    Familiarity with MongoDB
    Exposure to Docker and containerization concepts
    Familiarity with Kubernetes or other container orchestration tools
    Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms
    Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/CD Jenkins)
    Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira Confluence)
  • One of the following certifications is desired:
    AWS Certified Developer Associate
    AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
    Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

Additional Requirement

  • A cloud certification is required and will be verified during the interview or offer process

Target Salary Range

$86000 - $138000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
