Manufacturing Engineer

WHAT YOULL DO

In this role you will be responsible for the process optimization of technicalmanufacturingoperations including machining and material movement. You will facilitate change management utilizing Lean methodologies such as 5S. You will create and audit standard work instructions and assist in capacity planning for assigned value streams. Key responsibilities include:

• Work withtheOperations team to make operational adjustments as necessaryto ensure continued growth in productivity and efficiencyby reviewingKPIsdaily.
• Initiate manage and lead large complex technical improvement projects.
• Collaborate to plan and implement the layouts oftheplant and production equipmentin order toprovide the maximumutilizationof facilitiesandtheefficiency of production.
• Applylean principles tooptimizework/process flowto include reducing machineset-upand changeovertimes(SMED).
• Investigate and implementnew technologiesto digitalizeand automateproduct manufacturing and machine connectivitywithin the plant.
• Create andmodifywork routers and bills of materials.
• Implement the digital factory process across theorganization.
• Leverage the companys ERP system (Syteline) to analyze manufacturing data.
• Document standardwork to include creation of work instructionsrecordingand analyzing cycle times and value stream mapping.
• Initiate and lead kaizen and value stream mappingevents andapply lean manufacturing principles tooptimizework/process flow to include reducing machine set-up and changeover times (SMED).
• Positively influence personnel during processchanges andsuccessfullymanage that change.

WHAT YOULL BRING

• Bachelors degree inanEngineeringdiscipline.
• 2 years manufacturing operations engineering experience.
• Practical knowledge of continuousimprovement practices formal problem solving(Ishikawa Diagram A3 5 Whyetc.)andleanmanufacturing principles.
• Proficiencyin Microsoft Office toolsasneeded to create spreadsheetsstandard work instructionsand other documents.
• Practical knowledge of CNC programming.
• Experienceincreatingwork routers and bills of material.
• Experience in successfully leading projectswith cross-functional teams.

ALSO GREAT IF YOU BRING/ PREFERENCES

• Continuous Improvement certification(s) in Six Sigma or Lean .

• CNC and manual machining experience.
• Experience withthe manufacturing ofbearings and seals forcompressors and turbines or related products.
• Experience with custom engineered components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
