A Day in the Life
We have an exciting career opportunity for a driven Territory Manager to join our highly respected team in South Australia! Reporting directly to the Business Manager of the Cardiac Surgery Operating unit you will be primarily responsible for selling our range of cardiac surgery solutions to cardiac surgeons and perfusion teams in hospitals across Adelaide.Your highly organised approach and drive will be required to maintain existing customers and develop new accounts. You will practice good territory management through effective organisation administration and expense planning and control. Is this the career change you have been looking for
Cardiac surgery represents end stage treatment in the care continuum for many cardiovascular diseases and this operating unit provides an intimate relationship with the Cardiac Surgeon and Cardiac OR by offering an unparalleled depth and breadth of portfolio. Medtronic is bringing many new products and therapies to market in Australia and this role will give you an opportunity to support perfusion and blood management therapies as well as bring new solutions to ECMO and surgical atrial fibrillation treatment.
Your natural ability to connect and communicate will build and maintain strong and ethical business relationships with customers to encourage usage of our cardiac surgery products to achieve sales revenue and market share targets for the SA territory. Hands on patient contact and the ability to work on campaigns with fast paced technology make this role fulfilling as you get the opportunity to see how our devices change peoples lives.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties maybe assigned:
Promotes and sells Medtronics products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
Responsible for developing building and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals.
Responsible for pursuing leads assessing needs and providing product services of Medtronics products and/or services.
Promotes and establishes education of the companys products and/or services.
Implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed
Deliver the highest level of patient care customer Health Care Professional (HCP) service support and technical expertise in the hospital clinic and educational environment ensuring all activities drive optimal clinical outcomes
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Minimum requirement is High school diploma PLUS a minimum of 8 years of sales/clinical work experience in medical devices industry. Bachelor degree plus a minimum of 4 years of sales/clinical work experience in medical devices industry is desirable
Strong strategic focus and ability to identify business priorities
Strong understanding of the public and private healthcare system and experience working within Operating Theatres
Solid clinical knowledge with the ability to build strong working relationships with key clinicians and other medical staff
Understanding of internal workings of hospital labs/theatres/departments e.g. purchasing consignment and key influencers
A Customer / patient focused approach and strong empathy
Ability to absorb complex technical information and an aptitude for technology
Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software
Valid drivers license required
