Where youll be working
Based in Newcastle the Greater Newcastle Acute Care Team is a highly supportive specialist mental health service focused on helping adults through acute episodes without the need for hospital admission. Youll be part of a close-knit multidisciplinary team that genuinely looks out for one anotherworking across home visits telehealth phone support and clinic appointments to deliver care where its needed most.
About the role
As a Registered Nurse within the Acute Care Team youll play a vital role in delivering timely high-quality mental health care during critical moments. This is a dynamic and rewarding position where your clinical skills directly contribute to stabilising individuals in crisis and supporting them safely within the community.

About you
Youre a compassionate and capable Registered Nurse who thrives in fast-paced environments and values teamwork and support. You bring a strong foundation in mental health care with the ability to communicate effectively during high-pressure situations and build trust with patients and their families.
Your key strengths include:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
A valid NSW drivers licence for community-based care
Clear confident communication especially in crisis situations
Adaptability and resilience in acute mental health settings
A collaborative mindset working seamlessly within multidisciplinary teams
