RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with a team of multidisciplinary scientists to deploy gene editing (such as base editing and prime editing) delivery (such as AAV) and protein evolution technologies developed in the lab)
Advance current technologies to incorporate new biological and therapeutic models genotypic readouts and data acquisition and computational analysis approaches
Identify goals formulate strategies execute research and communicate findings
Understand the fundamentals of other projects in the lab and serve as a thought partner to Dr. Liu and other lab trainees

QUALIFICATIONS

PhD in Chemistry biochemistry biophysics bioengineering computational biology or a related field
Strong technical background rigorous mindset and creativity in problem-solving
Passion for technology development and collaborative science
Proven ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills
Outstanding recommendations from prior research supervisors
Ability to thrive in a dynamic professional environment with multiple overlapping and shifting objectives
Enjoys collaborating with and influencing peers across a flatter organizational structure
Excellence in written and verbal communication

The expected base pay range for this position as listed above is based on a 40 hour per week schedule. Broad provides pay ranges representing its reasonable and good faith estimate of what the organization reasonably expects to pay for a position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including but not limited to relevant skills experience education qualifications and other factors permissible by law.
