Job Title: Radiology Technologist
Location: Falmouth MA
Job Type: Contract
Shift: Rotating (8:00 AM 4:00 PM 9:00 AM 5:00 PM occasional 3:00 PM 11:00 PM)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Radiology Technologist for an exciting travel or local job in Falmouth MA.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and set up imaging equipment for radiographic and ultrasound examinations
- Select appropriate transducers and imaging parameters based on exam requirements
- Review patient history and clinical data to support diagnostic accuracy
- Position patients and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal imaging views
- Explain procedures to patients addressing concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Monitor patient safety and well-being during imaging procedures
- Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper labeling and documentation
- Maintain accurate radiology records in compliance with department standards
- Assist physicians during specialized procedures including ultrasound-guided biopsies
- Coordinate workflow to ensure efficiency and timely completion of studies
- Manage supplies equipment maintenance and service requests as needed
- Adhere to infection control safety and departmental policies and procedures
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (e.g. Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology)
- Registered or registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current state licensure (Massachusetts)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication and patient care skills
Additional Skills
- Knowledge of ultrasound imaging procedures preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care
