Position Description:
The Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) Architect Subject Matter Expert is responsible for designing and optimizing managed security service solutions to ensure robust protection against cyber threats. This role involves developing advanced security architectures advising on strategic security initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships. The Architect will work closely with clients to tailor security solutions to their specific needs and ensure compliance with government and industry standards including DHS 4300 OMB memoranda FedRAMP and FISMA. As a thought leader the Architect will drive innovation and forwardthinking strategies in cybersecurity.
This position is located in one of CGI Federals offices in Fairfax VA or Lafayette LA; however a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Security Architecture Design: Develop and optimize comprehensive security architectures for managed security services ensuring alignment with DHS 4300 OMB guidelines FedRAMP and FISMA.
Deep Technical Expertise and Innovation: Provide subject matter expertise in advanced security technologies and frameworks. Evaluate and implement innovative security solutions to enhance MSSP offerings. Serve as the goto expert for multiple domains and tools such as Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) cloud security network security and identity management.
Thought Leadership: Act as a thought leader in cybersecurity advocating for best practices and emerging technologies. Share insights and forwardthinking strategies with clients and industry peers.
Client Engagement and Solution Customization: Collaborate with clients to understand their security requirements and tailor solutions to meet their specific needs while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Threat Intelligence and Monitoring: Design systems for realtime alert monitoring and endpoint detection and response (EDR). Integrate mobile threat defense and compliance monitoring tools.
Advanced Network Protection: Architect advanced network protection strategies to ensure timely detection of and response to potential threats.
Incident Response and Management: Advise on incident response strategies including initial triage alert prioritization and detailed investigations. Ensure solutions support recovery efforts in compliance with FISMA requirements.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure security architectures meet industry standards regulations and best practices including NIST ISO 27001 DHS 4300 and OMB memoranda.
Collaboration and Communication: Support CISA threat hunting efforts and facilitate threat intelligence sharing. Collaborate with internal teams and clients to align security initiatives with business objectives.
Technology and Innovation: Refine security technologies and approaches to continually enhance MSSP capabilities.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements US citizenship is required as well as successful passing of CGI background check prior to beginning addition candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a DHS/CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance.
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity architecture with at least 5 years as a subject matter expert within an MSSP or similar environment.
Certifications: CISSP CISM or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
Desired qualifications:
This position may require occasional travel and oncall availability for emergency situations.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $127500.00 - $276200.00.
