The CNC Machinist is responsible for producing rotors to be used in our centrifuge

this role you will have the opportunity to set up trouble shoot and analyze the machining process.

There is also opportunity to run a variety of CNC Mills and Lathes throughout the Machine Shop.

This position reports to the Rotors Supervisor and is part of the Machine Shop located in Indianapolis IN and will be an on-site role.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

• Read blueprints and job orders to obtain product specifications dimensions and tolerances
• Position and secure work pieces to holding devices machine tables chucks centers or fixtures
• Set specified tools and depth of cut in accordance with material specifications and tooling guidelines; follow work instructions and set up books

The essential qualifications for the job include:

• High School/GED Equivalency and 3 years machinist experience in manufacturing
• G&M code experience; familiarity of CNC machines with Fanuc Controls and CMM reports
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to develop solutions for parts out of tolerances

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Utilizing a calipers bore gauges pins micrometers and various measuring devices.
• 5s and troubleshooting
• Ability to lift move or carry equipment up to 35lb
