JOB TITLE: CHILDCARE GROUP LEADER (KIDS EXPRESS)
WORK CALENDAR: 2613PT (9 MONTHS)
SALARY: GRADE106 (SUPPORT HOURLY)
Job Goal:
Assistin providing quality childcare in a nurturing safe environment usingdevelopmentallyappropriate curriculum.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience working with children
Minimum 6 months of experience required
Ability to operate standard office equipment including a computer and related software
Satisfactory criminal background check
Negative TB test required upon hire
High School diploma GED or equivalent desired
Core Job Functions:
Supervise children in the before and after school program but not limited to play periods meal time field trips bathroom assemblies and emergency drills
Prepare lesson plans and instruct children with an age-appropriate curriculum
Develop and create bulletin boards signs borders and classroom displays
Assist students with various physical emotional and educational needs
Provide guidance and direction to students regarding appropriate behavior and social skills.
Alert the supervisor to any problem or special information about a student
Communicate with parents on the students progress behaviors issues and outcomes
Maintain the confidentiality of protected student and staff member information even after no longer employed
Be flexible and perform other duties relating to the general job function as assigned by the supervisor
Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
Keep educational materials equipment and the general room environment neat safe and clean.
Attend all staff training sessions meetings and programs.
Accept responsibility for students well-being and safety while they are in the employees care
Be alert to and report the possibility of any substance use child abuse or dangerous situation based upon daily observation
Operating and caring for the school districts equipment properly
Follow district policies as outlined
Perform all duties safely and prudently as directed by supervisors
Participate in a minimum of 18 training hours per year.
Maintain current CPR/First Aid Certification as required by the program
