The Technician Quality Control is responsible for performing laboratory analysis identifies and solves problems to provide efficient and accurate reporting of results. This position involves performing daily operation of hematology systems and testing of blood derived material and/or reagents ensuring required specifications are met per laboratory standard operating procedures.
This position reports to the Hematology Quality Control (HQC) supervisor and is part of the HQC and Microbiology QC department located in Hialeah and will be an on-site role.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Perform established testing and execute quality control procedures.
- Execute and monitor on-site equipment and tools ensuring proper functioning.
- Perform calibration and routine troubleshooting of functionality and performance problems following defined protocols.
- Support business and customer needs by providing data and performing tests as requested adhering to standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Ability to multitask and prioritize within defined workflows.
- Familiar with computer systems and lab instrumentation.
- An AS degree and at least 1 years experience working as a Medical Laboratory technologist or technician required.
Travel Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to lift 5-10 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Hematology and Microbiology laboratory.
- Slides reading and microscopic evaluation.
- Familiarity with quality control calibration and value assignment concepts FDA QSR/cGMP ISO and raw materials.

The annual salary range or the hourly range for this role is ($50000 $85000) This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
