Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY
- Convert business through proposal negotiation and contractual agreement to ensure all revenue potential and targets are achieved on both properties.
- Liaise closely with clients to establish needs and expectations and maintain records to develop sales opportunities.
- Responds to telephone and email inquiries/ requests for group business in the defined timeline.
- Create and maintain accurate customer meeting/event records in SFAweb capture feedback and make suggestions for adapting offering.
- Processes the correspondence within 24hrs.
- Prepares and maintains accurate account information and profiles in SFAweb.
- Ensure that all sales opportunities are effectively cross-referred where possible using the appropriate cross-sell protocol (MILEADS)
- Generate contracts addendum proposals and other related booking documentation.
- Ensure strong knowledge of cluster Conference & Events products and selling strategies.
- Utilizes selling skills to book all aspects of meeting in one phone call.
- Proficiency in meeting room set-ups A/V and other support services
- Strong knowledge of both hotels in the cluster; selling features benefits and objectives.
- Understanding of contract management and legalities.
- Maximize revenue by up-selling creative F&B and other event options.
- Understand and follow hotels strategy as developed by revenue management.
- Understand and achieve both team and individual goals.
- Systems and software knowledge (SFA Web Microsoft Internet Marriott Global Source).
- Perceive the wider impact of issues on the immediate business environment.
- Focus on the customer and find ways to meet exceed their expectations.
- Build productive relationships with colleagues both internally and externally.
- Sell corporate and group events with accommodation (conferences conventions incentive trips weddings etc.).
- Manage the entire sales cycle (lead close handover to operations).
- Participate in site inspections sales visits and familiarization trips.
- Ensure a smooth transition of the event to the Events/Banquets department.
- Ensure a sales experience aligned with Marriott Bonvoy standards.
- Manage objections special requests and resolve sales issues.
- Ensure customer loyalty and repeat business.
Profile
- Advanced English (required): conversational written and business proficiency.
- Experience using Marriott systems (SFA CI/TY or others) desirable (not required).
- Technical or university studies in Hospitality Tourism Business Administration Marketing Public Relations or a related field.
- Minimum 24 years of experience in hotel sales ideally in events and groups.
- Previous experience in international chain hotels or the premium segment is desirable.
- Strong results orientation and goal achievement.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proactive self-reliant and organized.
