Job Summary

As a Gardener you will be an integral part of the Horticultural Therapy team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers. Hours of Work:21 hours per week May-September

What youll be doing:

  • The primary role is general gardening maintenance; which includes General plant care: weeding watering pruning planting general maintenance of Horticultural Therapy gardens interior courtyards greenhouse and Labyrinth care.
  • Plant materials includes; annual flowers perennial flowers shrubs vegetables herbs.
  • Ensure gardens are accessible safe and conducive to patient engagement.
  • Interior garden courtyard maintenance watering weeding pruning planting general maintenance of courtyard garden areas.

  • Ability and willingness to work cooperatively as a part of a team
  • Proven good work and attendance record
  • Ability to work in all types of outdoor weather and temperature
  • Physically capable of frequently lifting/moving of materials daily including mulch soil and plants
  • Ability to work independently
  • Commitment to working within Homewoods Health and Safety Standards
  • Demonstrated commitment to Homewoods Core Competencies (Service Excellence Innovation Collaboration Integrity)
  • Background Education in: Horticulture Studies Landscape or Garden Mantenance Master Gardener Studies
