Job Summary
What You Will Be Working On
Organizes and maintains project site files and documentation including electronic document management systems and shared file platforms
Maintains accurate and uptodate project documentation including drawings specifications submittals RFIs document logs and purchase orders
Assists with the review and tracking of subcontractor and supplier progress claims and payment documentation
Liaises with architects consulting engineers subcontractors and suppliers regarding design revisions RFIs RFQs change notices and general project coordination
Prepares for and participates in project meetings with the project team consultants and trade partners
Records prepares and distributes accurate meeting minutes in a timely manner
Assists with project closeout activities including deficiency coordination and final document turnover to the client
Maintains awareness of project progress risks and issues and escalates items to the Project Manager as required
Provides technical and administrative support to the project team as needed to support successful project delivery
What We Are Looking For
Internship coop or earlycareer experience in a construction or project support role is considered an asset
Strong interest in working in a sitebased environment on commercial and/or institutional construction projects
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings specifications and basic contract documents with guidance
Effective team player with strong communication organization and timemanagement skills
Proficiency with MS Office; exposure to MS Project SharePoint or construction management software considered an asset
Clientfocused mindset with the ability to build positive working relationships
Selfmotivated with a strong willingness to learn take initiative and grow into increased responsibility
