Position: Quality Lab Technician (Failure Analysis)

Location: Onsite San Diego CA (will transition to Valencia CA)

Contract Assignment: 12 Months (Potential Ext/Temp to Perm)

Pay Range: $25 $30/HR Paid Weekly (Experience Driven)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Lab Technician to support testing and failure analysis of returned products. This role plays a key part in identifying product issues ensuring compliance with internal procedures and contributing to overall product quality improvements.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical electronic and mechanical components in a lab environment and be comfortable documenting findings in a structured system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis on returned devices based on user-reported issues.
• Analyze electrical electronic and mechanical components to determine root cause.
• Accurately document investigation results and conclusions in the Global Complaint Management System (GCMS).
• Identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WIs) to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate closely with technicians and quality engineers to review and refine findings.
• Assist in maintaining lab equipment and overall workspace organization.
• Complete product record reviews as needed.
• Participate in training related to procedures systems and lab processes.

QualificationsRequired:

• Associates degree (or higher) in Electrical Electro-Mechanical or related field.
• 2 years of experience in failure analysis or lab-based troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment (multimeters oscilloscopes X-ray machines cutting tools etc.).
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work onsite in San Diego initially with future transition to Valencia.

Preferred Skills:

• 12 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in the medical device industry.
• Familiarity with RF devices and related concepts.
• Experience using systems such as SAP or Salesforce.
• Understanding of post-market quality processes and systems.

Working Conditions:

• May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels such as from office equipment.
• The ability to lift up to 30lbs.
• Use of computers and technology.
