Position Summary

The Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates supporting bid submissions and collaborating with project management and operations teams throughout the preconstruction process.

Key Responsibilities

• Review plans specifications and contracts to develop detailed cost estimates
• Perform quantity take-offs for labor materials equipment and overhead
• Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and evaluate bids
• Recommend subcontractor selections based on pricing and scope
• Partner with project managers architects and engineers during preconstruction
• Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities
• Support estimating team consistency and mentor junior estimators
• Track market trends material pricing and cost-saving opportunities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong experience in construction estimating preferred
• Proficiency in estimating software (Sage ProEst or similar)
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Strong analytical communication and problem-solving abilities
• Leadership experience and ability to mentor team members preferred
