Job Summary

DATTCO is searching for a transportation professional to lead direct support and guide a school bus operations team. This position ensures safe efficient and reliable passenger transportation with an emphasis on manager development customer relationships and financial responsibility. This position provides leadership to multiple DATTCO locations in Connecticut and Rhode Island.

Established in 1924 DATTCO is a third-generation family-owned business. DATTCO began providing school bus transportation in 1949 and currently services 30 school districts and Regional Education Service Centers throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island transporting 140000 students annually. Primary Responsibilities:

Oversight of recruitment training and retention to optimize staffing
Oversight of daily and weekly scheduling of staff
Financial management
Business development & customer relations
Manager development
Safety compliance
Corporate culture management
Team building

Minimum Requirements:

10 years management/transportation experience
Analytical skills
Able to problem solve in a fast-moving environment
Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally with people of all levels
Experience with working with unions
Able to multi-task
Excellent Microsoft Windows computer skills

A bachelors degree is preferred but not required.
