Job Summary

Job Description:

A vacancy for a Flight Line & Maintenance Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe (Madrid). The successful applicant will join the Flight Line Centre working in double shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The jobholder will be responsible of the implementation of the A330 MRTTs deliver and base &line maintenance activities under his/her perimeter.

Your main task and responsibilities will include:

Management the multifunctional team established in assigned A/C integrating all functions needed: Production Quality Manufacturing Engineering Planning & Production Control Supply Chain etc. as well as resources assigned: human infrastructure tooling GSEs industrial means etc.
Ensure coordination within others organizations.
Responsible of the aircrafts under his/her perimeter.
Security & Safety Responsible in his/her area of responsibility.
Mid-Term and Short Term Planning execution Responsible of the aircrafts.
Ensure she/he must be a reference in her/his area on team engagement energy values and ethics & compliance.
Coordination subcontracted activities in the A/Cs under his/her responsibility.
Evaluation of Airworthiness Directives Service Bulletins and other documents.
Ensure the continuous improvement and the Operational Excellence in the area.
Monitor the relevant KPIs solve the deviations from targets and identification of major industrial risks.
Responsible of Quality Health and Safety FOD and House Keeping standards accomplishment in the A/C area.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

A330 /green aircraft conversion into an A330 MRTT.
Aircraft delivery to Flight Ops and final customer: A/C preparation and its documentation TLB and QLB management operational safety rules quality and maintenance regulations etc.
A330 MRTT aircraft line and base maintenance: A/C preparation/dispatch for flight discrepancy fixing handling and servicing analysis schedule and accomplishment of maintenance work packages including manpower materials and tools etc.
Organization and supervision of production groups including supporting functions. Implement continuous improvement methods to reduce costs and lead time. Specific knowledge in the management and resolution of conflicts.
Experience in subcontracting services and operations (mechanical electrical sealant application complete aircraft painting and maintenance works in flight line) in MRTT.
Management of all qualifications of personnel and facilities required from Airworthiness Authorities both civil and military.

SKILLS

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Aeronautical Engineering.
From 2 to 5 years of experience in Operations and Team Management.
Language skills: English and Spanish in advanced level
Knowledge about Manufacturing Engineering and Business is a must.
Innovation and digitalization as well as continuous improvement.
