Key job responsibilities
The Transportation Claims Specialist is responsible for managing and executing Amazon Brazils ad-valorem recovery program with third-party carrier partners. This role is part of the Network Losses team and is responsible for identifying recoverable shipment losses processing claims ensuring compliance and coordinating with stakeholders from Finance Tax Accounting and Procurement to deliver net monthly and annualized savings.
Key Responsibilities: Extract and analyze recoverable remittance data at the shipment level respecting SLAs; Submit recovery data monthly to Finance Tax and Accounting teams; Process claims and manage disputes with carriers within established SLAs; Conduct audits on events investigating shipments with missing grading; Monitor and identify scan abuses by carriers;
Develop and implement SOPs for the recovery process formalizing agreements as contractual addendums; Track performance KPIs with a target of 100% compliance in the process; Coordinate cross-functional alignment for implementation and continuous evolution of the program.
A day in the life
The activities include data extraction internal and shared analysis with carriers reconciliation meetings claims submission dispute resolution and payment processing.
The Transportation Claims Specialist is responsible for identifying and recovering losses from shipments attributed to third-party carriers working daily on the extraction and classification of shipment data monthly submission of claims to Finance and Accounting teams and resolution of disputes with carriers within strict SLAs. The role also includes recurring audits to detect scan abuses monitoring of recovery KPIs and coordination with stakeholders from Procurement Tax and Operations.
About the team
Network Losses team acts as the manager of E2E loss metrics in the network with a focus on prevention and recovery of losses attributed to fulfillment and transportation operations. It is a team led by senior manager and teams dedicated to first mile middle mile and last mile operations.
The team is highly strategic combining management and technical competencies with direct interface with Fulfillments Transport Managers and carrier teams. Its work is strongly cross-functional connecting areas in integrated control and recovery processes. The team also relies on global benchmarks with other teams to adopt best practices.
- Experience in supply chain
- Experience working in a fast-paced rapidly changing operations environment
- Bachelors degree
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- Experience in Business English skills both verbal and written
- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
- Experience in MS Access and SQL
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
