Job Summary
Job Title: On-Call Substitute Health Room Nurse
Location: Lehigh Valley Academy
Position Type: On-Call $25 - $28 per Hour
Job Summary:
Lehigh Valley Academy is seeking a compassionate On-Call Substitute Health Room Nurse. The ideal candidate will provide health services and support to students in the absence of the regular health room nurse or Certified School Nurse under the direction of the Certified School Nurses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health Services:Provide nursing care and health services to students and staff including first aid medication administration and emergency care as needed.
- Health Assessment: Assess and evaluate the health needs of students making appropriate referrals and recommendations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for students and staff ensuring confidentiality and compliance with health regulations.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with parents guardians and school staff regarding student health concerns and issues.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with school administrators teachers and staff to support a safe and healthy school environment.
- Health Education: Provide health education and resources to students and staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania RN or LPN license required.
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
