We are hiring for a Software Development Engineer I to join our Public Cloud Architecture team. The Public Cloud Architecture team is responsible for developing standards engineering patterns and assisting in the operations of Public Cloud across CSG. You will work with a fun and exciting team and be on the absolute cutting edge of technology.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer I who will:

• You will implement well-scoped features and bug fixes in APIs/services and React front-ends following established patterns coding standards and security guidelines.
• You will write debug and maintain clean testable C# and JavaScript/TypeScript code including basic unit and integration tests (e.g. xUnit NUnit Jest React Testing Library).
• You will collaborate with more senior engineers and product partners to understand requirements break down work and estimate tasks.
• You will participate in code reviews as both author and reviewer incorporating feedback to improve code quality performance and security.
• You will help maintain technical documentation for owned components (API contracts configuration deployment/runbooks).
• You will assist in monitoring and supporting applications in cloud-based test and production environments under supervision (logs basic debugging simple production fixes).
• You will follow team processes for agile development Git branching/pull request workflows and cloud-based CI/CD pipelines.
• You will manage and maintain the company website using WordPress including content updates page design and search engine optimization (SEO) best practices

Is this opportunity right for you We are looking for candidates who have:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Software Engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 1-3 years of professional software development experience (internships co-ops or significant project work acceptable).
• Hands-on experience with C# (e.g. Core Web API) and at least one front-end framework preferably React.
• Understanding of web fundamentals (HTTP REST JSON browser basics).
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g. Postgres SQL and SQL Server) and basic querying or ORM usage (e.g. Entity Framework).
• Familiarity with Git and basic collaborative workflows (branches pull requests).
• Foundational knowledge of data structures algorithms and object-oriented design.
• Exposure to running applications in a public cloud ideally AWS (e.g. Elastic Beanstalk ECS/EKS Lambda RDS) or Azure (e.g. App Service Azure SQL Functions).
• Experience using cloud-aware CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions Azure DevOps AWS CodeBuild/CodePipeline).
• earning mindset: eager to deepen expertise in C# .NET React and cloud-native practices (with emphasis on AWS); receptive to feedback and mentoring.
• Solid problem-solving and debugging skills for well-defined moderately complex tasks across front-end and back-end code.
• Clear communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with engineers product and QA.
• Ability to manage multiple small tasks meet agreed deadlines and escalate risks or blockers early.
