Job Summary

Life & Arts is an intelligent take on global lifestyle arts books fashion travel and culture presented by FT writers and external critics and commentators and read by people with money to spend on leisure and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • fact check print and online stories

  • assist editors with research tasks (looking for press contacts information on interview subjects etc)

  • write small pieces such as the Snapshot photography column

  • contribute ideas about online presentation

  • write social media content

Your Skills:

  • A proven interest in topics covered by L&A

  • Good communication skills

  • Organised and efficient

  • Ability to keep up with the high pace of our schedule

  • Some journalism experience (qualification student journalism blog writing etc)

  • Team player

This 12-week internship is for 35 hours per week Monday to Friday and is paid the London Living Wage.

How we work

Our hybrid setup means staff are expected to come into the office 3 days a week specifically Tuesday-Thursday.

Our office is located across the street from St. Pauls Cathedral and is easily accessible from all corners of London. There are main train terminals such as Liverpool Street Moorgate Blackfriars City Thameslink and Waterloo all situated within walking distance or there are several tube stations within a few mins walk such as Mansion House St. Pauls Bank or Barbican.
