Job Summary
CT Technologist Traveller
Location: Massachusetts
Shift: Night Shift (4x10s) 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Duration: Contract
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Radiology Manager the CT Technologist performs computed tomography procedures using ionizing radiation to produce diagnostic images. This role requires strong technical expertise attention to detail and adherence to radiation safety and patient care standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans as per physician orders with high accuracy
- Operate CT scanner and related imaging equipment
- Select appropriate imaging protocols and techniques
- Position patients correctly to obtain optimal diagnostic images
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment as required
- Follow radiation safety standards and apply protective measures
- Assist in administration of contrast media (if certified)
- Evaluate images for technical quality and diagnostic value
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Adhere to infection control and hospital safety policies
- Communicate procedures clearly to patients to reduce anxiety
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and healthcare staff
- Participate in continuing education and professional development
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography Program
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification Required
- Valid Massachusetts State Radiology License
- CT Certification or enrollment in CT registry (ARRT)
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years as Radiologic Technologist OR
- Minimum 1 year recent CT Technologist experience
- Current BLS Certification
