Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: Manhattan NY
Job Type: Contract (8 Weeks with possible extension)
Assignment Details:
- Shift: 8-hour Day/Night shifts
- Schedule: Flexible (based on department needs)
- Employment Type: Contract
Compensation:
- Local Rate: $63 $72/hour (based on experience)
- Travel Rate: $75 $90/hour (based on experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The technologist will operate MRI equipment ensure patient safety and produce accurate imaging results in accordance with established protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI imaging procedures following established protocols
- Position patients and coils to obtain optimal diagnostic images
- Educate patients regarding procedures and provide clear instructions
- Review MRI safety screening questionnaires prior to scanning
- Ensure all images are accurately labeled and transmitted to PACS
- Complete and document studies in Radiology Information Systems (RIS)
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of MRI equipment and rooms
- Monitor inventory and ensure availability of supplies
- Assist physicians during procedures as required
- Adhere to strict MRI safety standards to prevent hazards
- Maintain accurate patient tracking and documentation
- Report equipment issues or unsafe conditions promptly
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Active New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology
- ARRT (MRI) Certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
- Strong knowledge of MRI physics cross-sectional anatomy and physiology
- Excellent technical and patient care skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
- Experience in a hospital or high-volume imaging environment
