Location: Manhattan NY
Job Type: Contract (8 Weeks with possible extension)

Assignment Details:

• Shift: 8-hour Day/Night shifts
• Schedule: Flexible (based on department needs)
• Employment Type: Contract

Compensation:

• Local Rate: $63 $72/hour (based on experience)
• Travel Rate: $75 $90/hour (based on experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The technologist will operate MRI equipment ensure patient safety and produce accurate imaging results in accordance with established protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI imaging procedures following established protocols
• Position patients and coils to obtain optimal diagnostic images
• Educate patients regarding procedures and provide clear instructions
• Review MRI safety screening questionnaires prior to scanning
• Ensure all images are accurately labeled and transmitted to PACS
• Complete and document studies in Radiology Information Systems (RIS)
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of MRI equipment and rooms
• Monitor inventory and ensure availability of supplies
• Assist physicians during procedures as required
• Adhere to strict MRI safety standards to prevent hazards
• Maintain accurate patient tracking and documentation
• Report equipment issues or unsafe conditions promptly
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development
• Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Active New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology
• ARRT (MRI) Certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
• Strong knowledge of MRI physics cross-sectional anatomy and physiology
• Excellent technical and patient care skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
• Experience in a hospital or high-volume imaging environment
