Job Summary
Shambaugh & Son is seeking a Regional Safety this role you will be responsible for performing construction safety services in a professional manner resulting in no injuries successful project completions and a safe working environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Developing and execute health and safety plans according to corporate and legal guidelines
- Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
- Evaluating practices procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to corporate policy and the law
- Ensure everyone in the company complies with health and safety laws.
- Excellent attention to detail to identify hazards. Identify opportunities to improving conditions and execute various safety programs. Effectively communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce is essential
- Ensure the workplace meets all legal expectations and actively supports occupational health and safety.
- Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
- Monitor compliance with policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
- Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
- Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle workers compensation claims
- Recommend solutions to issues improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
- Report on health and safety awareness issues and statistics
- Prepare job specific safety procedures
- Inspect job safety
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelors in safety management or relevant field is preferred
- 5 years of construction safety experience or 10 years of construction work experience
- Can communicate clearly and effectively in both written and oral work
- All applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States
- Proven experience as safety manager
- Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
- Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Valid qualifications / Certifications in occupational health and safety
- Ability to travel
- Regular and reliable attendance including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
