Job Summary
Technical Editor/Writer needed: Grand Prairie TX.
We have an opening with a great client of ours and we are looking for a Technical Editor/Writer to work a contract position in Grand Prairie TX. This is a12 month long contract positionand youmust be a US Citizen to apply. Required: US Citizenship and Residency W2 hourly Contract Only No 1099 No third parties no C2C. No exceptions (Sorry)
Pay: $55 to $61.75/hr. D.O.E.
TECHNICAL EDITOR/WRITER
Writes rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals user manuals programming manuals service manuals operational specifications and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences. Acquires subject knowledge by interviewing product developers observing performance of production methods referring to technical specifications blueprints engineering illustrations and trade journals. Oversees preparation of illustrative materials selecting drawings sketches diagrams and charts. Conducts quality review of materials.
Job Duties include
Editing and Writing of: Operating Procedures Acceptance Test procedures Calibration Procedures Installation Procedures Test Requirements Documents Support Review and Release processes for documents Using Windchill Follow and Support Configuration Management for the program.
Basic REQUIRED Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering Technical Communication or related field.
6years of technical writing experience in aerospace defense or hightech environments; prior work with test equipment documentation preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Adobe Acrobat and PLM systems (Windchill experience required).
Familiarity with ECSS MILSTD or other aerospace documentation standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex engineering concepts into clear instructions.
Understanding Change Control processes and configuration management.
Contractor selected will work onsite full time for the first few weeks of the assignment and then move to hybrid schedule of 1-2 days from home
