Data Engineer to ICA Bank

About the role

As a Data Engineer at ICA Bank you will:

• Build and maintain production-ready data pipelines on GCP

• Work extensively with BigQuery

• Develop transformations and data models using dbt

• Manage infrastructure and configurations using Terraform

• Work with GitHub-based version control and CI/CD workflows

• Take responsibility from source data to consumable datasets

In this role you will collaborate closely with engineers architects and business stakeholders to contribute to a simple well-structured and maintainable data platform. You will work end-to-end with scalable data pipelines contribute to Data Meshoriented architectures and help ensure governance security and compliance are embedded by design.

This is a permanent position based in Solna with a hybrid setup and majority of time in the office.

Are you the one we are looking for

We are looking for a data engineer with at least 3 years of experience who wants to grow further in a stable product-oriented environment.

To thrive in this role you will need to have experience with:

• Building and maintaining data solutions in production environments

• BigQuery and analytical SQL

• dbt for transformations and data modeling

• Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools

• GitHub and CI/CD workflows

• Python and SQL for data engineering tasks

But you will really shine if you also have experience of other GCP services beyond BigQuery Data Mesh or data productoriented ways of working. If you have been working in banking finance or other regulated industries this is also a merit as well as your potential experience of AI-assisted development tools or modern engineering workflows.

We are looking for a pragmatic data engineer who enjoys building reliable solutions. You prefer clear responsibilities well-defined tools and straightforward architectures. You take ownership communicate clearly and care about building things that are easy to understand operate and evolve over time.

The role requires fluency in English and Swedish is considered an advantage!
