Our Co-Development Business Unit is looking for a Data Engineer to join the team.

This is a fixed term contract role. The engagement is 1 year.

What will you do

• Build scalable privacypreserving data pipelines that integrate heterogeneous signals (phone sensors BYOD wearables assigned devices selfreport) across the HOPES Platform layers L1L4 ensuring reliability transparency and safe downstream use.
• Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for multilayer data ingestion (L1: minimal data L4: hightrust clinically validated streams) using Python Pandas Numpy Bash Scripting SQL AWS AWS Lambda
• Implement data quality checks confidence labels and variancehandling mechanisms for BYOD devices (e.g. steps sleep resting HR).
• Develop data governance rulesfollowing the layered consent model (optin pause withdrawal data minimization).
• Create scalable feature storesfor wellbeing insights descriptive summaries and clinicianfacing analytics.
• Integrate structured semistructured signals (sleep patterns routines checkins activity-mood correlations).
• Support privacyfirst processing: pseudonymization access controls audit logs tierspecific visibility.
• Collaborate with ML/analytics teams to deliver safe nondiagnostic insightsand transparent uncertainty explanations.
