Job Summary

HEAD GOLF
Varsity Golf
Requires teacher and/or coach who holds a Nebraska Department of Education Teacher or Administrative Certificate or a Nebraska Department of Education Special Services Coaching Permit.
Standing Bear High School is seeking adynamic coach/educator to build & provide leadership for the Golf program. All curricular areas will be considered. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required as well as the desire & ability to develop positive relationships with student-participants families and the LPS community. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the sport of Golf and the ability to enhance the ongoing development and improvement of the golf program.
LPS head coaches are required to organize and lead practices regular season and district contests and performances (not to exceed NSAA/LPS allowances); facilitate manage and provide oversight of the program; maintain required certification and requirements of the position; and lead their teams in NSAA state championship preparation and performances if the team or individuals qualify.
LPS has a long tradition of academic athletic and activity excellence. Belief in the value of educational-based athletics is critical.
Knowledge and understanding of NSAA and LPS policies and bylaws is required.
This position is subject to a veterans preference.
