Job Summary:

To provide oversight of all administrative responsibilities of the medical education administrative staff and support Program Director(s) efforts with accreditation responsibilities by managing all resident data to ensure accreditation requirements are met.

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree in healthcare administration management health sciences public health or related field and five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Certifications Licenses or Registration Required: N/A

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication; organized self-starter; problem solving skills; detail oriented; ability to prioritize time management skills; team player.

Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight of administrative responsibilities of the medical education administrative staff.
  • Supports Program Director(s) efforts with accreditation responsibilities by managing all resident/fellow data to ensure accreditation requirements are met to maintain program accreditations.
  • Oversees the onboarding and exiting of all incoming residents/fellows to the department. Maintains alum files for future education and practice verifications.
  • Counsels students interested in department and connects them with appropriate departmental resources.
  • Collaborates with GME office and DBA to ensure institutional requirements are met for each applicant and program.
  • Manages all personal and medical leave for residents fellows and education administration staff and processes Workday leave and travel related to education.
  • Organizes and manages recruitment activities and supporting systems including review of applications and coordination of applicant communication throughout interview season.
  • Monitors tracks assembles and reports data outcomes for Clinical Competency Committee and Institutional reporting.
